Harvest ! ! ! We picked half of the Sauvignon Blanc plants on Sunday August 25th and the other half on September 3rd, yielding a total of 2.8 tons. We pick at night so the fruit stays cool and doesn't breakdown before processing the next day. We pick on two different dates as part of our plan to differentiate two styles of SB again this year - one leaning fresher+green+crisp at 23.5 brix and the other trending lush+tropical at ~25 brix! The Zin was picked on the evening of September 16th under a full harvest moon! The rest of the red varietals are getting there: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Syrah.
